Seeking Guest Bloggers For Savvy Skin

road to healthy skinI’ve written in the past about how vital it is to get a screening for skin cancer, and now here’s your opportunity to do it for free! No more excuses!!! May is National Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection Month, and The Skin Cancer Foundation is kicking off their “Road To Healhty Skin Tour” tomorrow in New York City’s Union Square (from 12-3pm if you live in NYC). I caught a quick segment about it this morning on The Today Show.

After New York City, they take the show on the road, and a customized RV is going to be driving around the country, and visiting 50 cities between May and October. When the RV comes to your town, you can get a free full body skin cancer screening in a private room, performed by a local Dermatologist.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the US, and it’s also the most curable and preventable, when it’s caught early. I just had my skin cancer screening a few weeks ago, so now it’s your turn! It’s important to get yearly skin cancer screenings, and they are super simple and only take a few minutes.

Find out if the Road To Healthy Skin Tour is coming to your city! There is a text link near the top of the page that says “tour schedule.” If they aren’t coming to your town, there may be another free skin cancer screening you can attend, so check with your local hospitals, magazines, newspapers, etc.

The guest posts will ideally cover new topics, such as: skin care for oily skin, skin care for darker skin types, makeup tips for oily skin, skin care issues when pregnant, experiences with injectables like Restylane, various Medical Spa and cosmetic surgery procedures, eczema tips, Rosacea tips, insider secrets if you work in the beauty industry, etc. If there’s a topic you’d like to hear about, just leave a comment about what you’d like to see!

Additionally, the other obstacle I face is that I can’t afford to buy and test a lot of new products, so I struggle with the desire to review interesting new products, but can’t justify buying them when I currently have a regimen of products that I’m currently happy using. So I would welcome honest reviews of new anti-aging, acne, and beauty products.

If ever you have put any effort into thinking how deep we are into technology, you may want to consider this: manufacturers offer software to do practically anything you could imagine. For the non- computer savvy; software is a computer program that performs some normally complicated jobs. This is as opposed to hardware, which is the tangable computer parts and peripherals. A great system for you to consider is the Garmin Golflogix GPS.

4 Ways That Jogging Improves Your Mental Fitness “

When a particluar product or practice is enjoyed by millions, there will be an enormous collection of software designed for it. You should realize, though, a large amount of software most often leads to fluctuating levels of quality. As an example, golf is a popular game which has a wide range of software applications. Some golf software can simplify a person’s game and even improve your score. But some golf software is either so complicated to apply or so specialized that it could even encumber your game, unless you use a good system like the Garmin Golflogix GPS.

Most golf software helps you to properly predict the distance your ball will fly and the way your ball will respond in different weather conditions, and also if you use a range of clubs. With the application of a Global Positioning System or GPS, the possible tasks of golf software expand exponentially. The basic idea is that this software will be able to determine the distances to and from various coordinates on a golf course, helping the player to make informed decisions. The GPS is used when you need real time information about where you are relative to your next objective.

There are several considerations to take into account when deciding on your personal golf GPS software.

The primary consideration when choosing software is your hardware specifications. These will decide how effectively a program will function, or whether it will perform at all on a particular machine. Golf GPS systems are units that work only as electronic golf assistants, but golf GPS software can run on a handheld computer like a Personal Digital Assistant. Some of the things you need to ask about your next purchase of software includes what computers will it run on, what operating system can it interface with, and how much RAM and hard memory must it use? Hand-held devices have less memory space than laptop and desktop computers, so knowing these factors will prove much more important.

Next are the features of the software itself. Is it quick to install? Can it update regularly with new functions or maps? As it is not possible to store information on every individual golf course on the planet on a single handheld computer, swapping data in and out ought to be a simple procedure. In addition you ought to select software with regards to whether the manufacturer provides free data downloads or subscriptions.

On the golf course is where the software will finally prove itself. The user interface should be intelligent, highly visible in addition to easy to use. If the software provides enhanced maps such as aerial or satellite photos, are the photos clear enough? Needless to say, the data and directions need to be correct to be useful at all.

Golf GPS software is redefining the way amatuers play golf. Golf is a sport, and a golfer’s achievement is something everyone notices. For a few players, though, the point of the game will only be found in happily taking pleasure in the outdoors instead of their score. The Garmin Golflogix GPS is a great system to complement your software.

I was perusing one of those ‘Golfing for Women’ magazines the other day and began wondering where the women live, who wear the golf attire modeled in women’s golfing magazines? I’ve never seen women, not even the professionals, who would dress in such expensive and outrageous clothing.

It’s so simple to spend tons of money kitting yourself out for the sport of golf. Think about hats, sunglasses, gloves, shirts, shorts, socks, windbreakers and shoes, and it is obvious that the costs add up very quickly, even if you do your shopping at cheap online sales. Then you have to add in the cost of clubs, balls, bag, cart and fees and you have to play a round of golf really quite frequently to keep the “CPU” (cost per use) down to a tolerable level.

One glossy advert showed a beautiful young ‘golfing lady’ in very tiny shorts (like that’s permitted on golf courses!) that cost nearly $300, a golf shirt at almost $600, a jacket by Ralph Lauren at almost $200 and two-toned Utuser shoes costing $400 plus.

That adds up to almost $1,500! I know that I could never hope to get the CPU on that outfit down to anywhere near an acceptable level in my lifetime! Don’t misunderstand me - I love clothes and I really love shoes, but could never afford, or even want, golf shoes or pants that cost more than most people’s weekly wage.

Granted, you want comfy golfing shoes that don’t look like an old pair of wooden clogs, but honestly, you will be able to buy less expensive and yet still trendy golfing shoes.

I have a couple of really stylish golf outfits, although none of them are brand names. If I totalled up the cost of all of them, it would not cover the price of a Tse golf shirt. Personally, I’d rather have several stylish outfits than one outrageously priced one.

If I were to wear a $1,500 set of golfing apparel to play golf in, I would just be too worried about getting it dirty or sweating in it to enjoy a decent game of golf.
